As we all know that Lockdown is in the entire country since 24th March 2020 because of coronavirus epidemic. Migrant workers are stranded in different areas of other states. Due to lack of money, thousands of worker are unable to buy food and prevent starvation. Govt of West Bengal has launched an app where all the migrant workers can give necessary details so that Govt West Bengal can send money of Rs 1,000

 

West Bengal Migrant Worker Relief Scheme (jaibanglamw.wb.gov.in)

 

If any West Bengal migrant workers have been trapped in another state and don’t have enough money to afford daily ration, So West Bengal has provided the Relief Fund of Rs.1000. All the migrant workers of West Bengal can get relief fund through the “SNEHER PARAS APP“. Here, you will be getting all the updates like Eligibility, Required Document and App Download Link.

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Here are given all the details regarding eligibility criteria and necessary documents to get benefit of this scheme –

• The workers is a resident of West Bengal.
• The worker is stranded in other parts of the country and is not able to come back to the state due to suspension of transportation and restrictions imposed on inter-state movement. Such worker shall apply for assistance.
• The applicant has provided details of either or Khadyasathi Numberor EPIC Number or Aadhaar Number to prove that he is resident of West Bengal.
• District Magistrae/Commissioner, KMC is satisfied that the applicant is actually stranded due to outbreak of Corona Virus and is a resident of West Bengal.

• Identity Proof such as Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, EPIC card
• Bank Account Detail
• Active Mobile Number
• Details of Local Contact Person: Name, relationship and contact number of the contact person in West Bengal.

How to Use SNEHER PARAS App and Approval

 

It is very easy to download Sneher Paras App. You just need to follow few steps which are given below –

• The application sent by the applicant through Mobile App will be available to the District Magistrates/Commissioner of KMC in the Sneher Paras Link in Jai Bangla Link provided in the home page of Government of West Bengal – Egiye Bangla at www.wb.gov.in
• The District Magistrates/Commissioner of KMC shall conduct verification of each applicant with respect to the authenticity of the eligibility criteria.
• the District Magistrates/ Commissioner of KMC after conduct of verification shall online approve the eligible cases of payment.
• After the approval of the District Magistrates/Commissioner of KMC, the Department of Disaster Management shall generate payment mandate for payment of the assistance directly to the bank account of the worker.
• An automatic SMS will be generated after the payment and sent to the worker.

• Now open the app and click on “Register Now”
• Enter all the necessary details like contact number, name, captcha
• Upload the necessary documents and click on the submit button
